Objective:To investigate preventive effect of Honghua injection on chemotherapy-induced superficial phlebitis.Methods:The malignant tumor patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,treatment group received intravenous drip of Honghua injection(10 ml+5%GS 250 ml)before and after the use of chemotherapeutics which can stimulate vessel wall.Without using Honghua injection,the rest antiemetic and symptomatic treatment of control group were the same as treatment group.Results:The incidence of phlebitis decreased obviously after the application of Honghua injection,the rate of phlebitis in the treatment group is 26.4%(29/110),which was lower than that of control group(62.4%,68/109),the difference was significant(P<0.05).There were not Honghua injection-related severe toxicity in the treatment group.Conclusions:Honghua injection was one of the effective drugs to prevent chemotherapy-induced superficial phlebitis,with small toxicity and good curative effect.
