Objective:To explore the effect of delayed pregnancy and suitable treatment. Methods:To review the clinical data of 111 patients with delayed pregnancy in our hospital from January 2005 to December 2007 and 111 patients with normal pregnancy were selected randomly as control group. Results:For the delayed pregnancy group, the occurrence rates of placental maturity Ⅲ degree, amniotic fluid too little, fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia, delivered from the vaginas, and cesarean section were significantly higher than those in normal pregnancy group(P<0.05).As to large-for-dates infants and low birth weight infants, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:More dangerous situation would occur to the fetus resulting from decreasing function of placenta in delayed pregnancy. The incidence of delayed pregnancy would be decreased and mother with fetus will be safe by close monitor during ante-parturition and intra-parturition period. To protect from the fetus,we often select cesarean section to close the pregnancy.
