Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the influence factors of Levonorgestrel\|releasing intrauterine system (LNG\|IUS) on the treatment of abnormal uterine bleedingMethodsThe data of 148 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding in our department from January to December 2014  were retrospective analysis，LNG\|IUS was placed after the pathological diagnosis of diagnostic curettage were benign lesionsAll the patients were followed\|up at one month,three months,six months,and one yearUnchanged position of LNG\|IUS,normal amount and cycle of menstrual (drip or menopause) were considered successful treatment; self shedding or position down of LNG\|IUS,or removed due to complications was considered failure treatmentThe data was analyzed by t Test,χ2 Test and Logistic RegressionResultsIn 148 patients,LNG\|IUS achieved highly effective treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding in 132 cases（89%）and failure in 16 cases Furthermore,the depth of uterine cavity,timing of LNG\|IUS placed,count of menstrual and hemoglobin level played major roles on the treatmentThe timing of LNG\|IUS placed and anemia produced synergic effectsConclusionLNG\|IUS can be effective in treat abnormal uterine bleeding with 89% successful rate in this studyFor patients with normal hemoglobin level and LNG\|IUS placed correctly were associated with highly successful treatment
