Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe the effect of enhanced external counterpulsation(EECP)in the elder patients with chronic congestive heart failure Methods60 patients with chronic congestive heart failure in our hospital from August 2015 to August 2016 were selected and randomly divided into control group and treatment group Patients in control group were treated by conventional drugs and patients in study group were treated by conventional drugs combined with EECP The 6 min walking test, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),N terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor(NT\|proBNP)before and after treatment in two groups were observed Results The BNP,distance of 6 minutes walking, and LVEF values before treatment in two groups had no significant difference(P>005) After treatment, the distance of 6 min walking and LVEF values in study group were significantly higher than that in control group; The BNP in study group was evidently lower than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<005) Conclusions EECP has significant treatment effect on chronic congestive heart failure, which can effectively increase the LVEF,improve the quality of life and is worthy to be promoted in clinical practice
