Abstract:Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Andrographis paniculata combined with proton pump inhibitor on reflux pharyngitis.
Method 100 patients with reflux laryngopharyngitis treated in our hospital were randomly selected and divided into control group and study group. The
patients in the control group were treated with proton pump inhibitors, while the patients in the study group were treated with Andrographis dropping
pills combined with proton pump inhibitors. The pharyngeal features, clinical symptom scores, remission rate, and recurrence rate were compared
between the two groups. Results Before treatment, the clinical symptom score of two groups were almost the same; after 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the
clinical symptom scores and recurrence rates of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the curative effect was
better. The main symptom remission rate was higher than that of the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).
Conclusion The effect of Andrographis paniculata combined with proton pump inhibitors on reflux pharyngitis is more effective, which can shorten the
time of clinical symptom relief and reduce the recurrence rate. It is worthy of further promotion and application.
