Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effect of carboprost tromethamine combined with intrauterine balloon tamponade on postpartum hemorrhage of placenta previa after cesarean section. Methods 92 cases of postpartum hemorrhage with placenta previa after cesarean section treated in our hospital from March 2018 to May 2020 as the research objects were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 46 cases in each group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were observed, the amount of uterine bleeding at 2 and 24 h, hemostasis time, uterine fundus descent rate, uterine contraction duration, lochia duration, and hospital stay after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, total effective rate, as well as the amount of uterine bleeding at 2 and 24 h, hemostasis time, uterine descent rate, uterine contraction duration, lochia duration, and hospital stay after surgery, were better than those in the control group. There were statistical differences between the two groups（all P＜0.05）. Conclusion Carboprost tromethamine combined with intrauterine balloon tamponade  has significant clinical effect in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage of placenta previa after cesarean section and can be popularized and applied.
