Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect and effective rate of minocycline hydrochloride ointment combined with tinidazole tablets for chronic periodontitis(CP). Methods According to the random number table method, 98 CP patients(98 teeth)were divided into a control group of 49 cases treated with minocycline hydrochloride ointment and the research group of 49 cases treated with minocycline hydrochloride ointment combined with tinidazole tablets. The levels of inflammatory factors, periodontal status, comprehensive efficacy, and adverse reactions between the two groups were compared. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the level of inflammatory factors and the improvement of periodontal condition in the research group were better than those of the control group; after 4 weeks of treatment, the comprehensive curative effect of the research group was higher than that of the control group; in terms of adverse reactions, the incidence of the study group was lower than that of the control group.The results were compared between the two groups, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05). Conclusion Minocycline hydrochloride ointment combined with tinidazole tablets for CP can improve their periodontal conditions and inflammation indicators. It has significant efficacy and high safety, and it is worth promoting.
