Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical application and research of double X-ray absorptionmetry(DXA)combined with total bone type Ⅰ procollagen amino terminal peptide(PINP)and β-collagen specific sequence(β-crosslaps)in predicting postmenopausal osteoporosis(POP). Methods A total of 100 postmenopausal women examined in our hospital from Oct. 2019 to Oct. 2020 were selected and divided into osteoporosis group and non-osteoporosis group according to the results of DXA, 50 patients in each group. The level of bone mineral density were measured, PINP and β-crosslaps value of the two groups were compared. Results The bone mineral density of the hip joint, femoral neck and lumbar spine in the osteoporosis group were significantly lower than those in the non-osteoporosis group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(t=14.94, 13.99, 14.13, all P<0.05); The levels of β-crosslaps and PINP in the osteoporosis group were higher than those in the non-osteoporosis group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(t=6.86, 16.19, both P<0.05). Conclusion The level of bone mineral density and bone metabolism markers of postmenopausal women are closely related to the occurrence of osteoporosis. DXA combined with β-crosslaps and PINP testing can be used as ideal indicators to predict POP.
